Marshall Code 25 - Simply Great
"Marshall is one of the great names in guitar amplification and has been since the 1960's. (Think Jimi Hendrix.) Here is a small - but plenty loud! - solid state amp that can mimic the sounds of not only various Marshalls but other makes of amps by digitally manipulating the signal. Want a clean "Fender-ish" sound? It's got it. Want a Bluesbreaker tone? It's got it. Want raw, searing metal sound? It's got it. There are 100 presets built in, ranging from light/ethereal to wild distortion. And the best part is that each of the presets is able to be edited: power amp, cabinet, effects, pedals, etc. And you can do it from your smart phone by linking the amp via Bluetooth. (I have found it's helpful to go into my iPhone's Bluetooth settings when I turn off the amp and tap Forget This Device each time. It helps linking to it the next time you fire it up.)
In addition, there are output jacks for your phone so you can play along with songs loaded on it and also for headphones. I use this feature a lot so I don't wake up the neighbors ... three miles away.
All in all, an excellent, well-designed and engineered product.that gives a guitarist a wide range of options at a very affordable price. I highly recommend it for the hobbyist and even for playing small venue gigs."
    The Modeling Amp "( . )"
"Amazing...Many "musicians" will claim that modeling AMP's are this and that. The truth about the Code lineup is that with some slight tweeking on the presets to satisfy personal taste, you are able to test 100's of combos of pedals, pre, AMP and effects for hours, neh, days of fun. Metal, blues, cleans all sound great. The 25 has everything you could ever want in a practice AMP. Beginners will appreciate the variety of sounds available to them for practice and pros will enjoy the ample range in tone and bass crunch this package provides. Some will say that the Code lineup fails to mimic the AMP's Marshall claims that it does and I agree BUT...this is absolutely not the point. Select a preset that may sound ok or EH or good and move a few knobs around and in an instant you are having a great jam session. The presets are arguably very close in sound to what is advertised but seriosly people STOP COMPLAINING THAT A 10 inch SPEAKER DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A 4 X 12 CABINET BACKED BY 100 WATTS…it is only 1 X 10 inch after all. Enjoy the AMP for what it is, fun. Great bluetooth software, nice knobs, 35 watts of power, that's right 35. You think you're getting 25 watts until you take delivery and take a look at the back of the amp. Enjoy..."
